Singer Bada is stepping forward as the official official representative ‘Eco Friends’ for the 23rd Seoul International environment Film Festival. The Korea Green Foundation (Chairman Choi Yeol) announced that they have appointed singer Bada, main vocalist of S.E.S and an active musical actress, as this year’s ‘Eco Friends’ for the Seoul International environment Film Festival. The Seoul International environment Film Festival is one of domestic’s top three environment film festivals, and has been delivering messages about the environment and future through film since 2004. To make environment issues more approachable, the Korea Green Foundation has annually selected individuals with public influence and symbolic significance as official representative. Bada, appointed as ‘Eco Friends’ this year, will share diverse stories on the themes of climate and the environment with the public through the film festival, playing a role in expanding cultural empathy.<\/p>\n

Bada debuted as the main vocalist of first-generation idol group S.E.S, gaining recognition for her unique vocal ability and stage presence. She later established herself as a ‘musical diva’ through her active participation in various productions such as ‘Notre Dame de Paris,’ ‘Mozart!,’ and ‘Gone with the Wind.’ Recently, she has been consistently active, performing across broadcast and stage.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Bada, who has regularly participated in various social contribution activities including marine environment conservation activities and donations, is drawing attention for her role as an ambassador for this film festival.<\/p>\n

Singer Bada, who participated in the appointment ceremony, said, “The opening film of the 2024 Seoul International environment Film Festival, ‘Wilding,’ is not an exaggeration to call my life’s film.” She continued, “As an ‘Eco Friends,’ I want to share that experience with more people.” She added, “Just as I always wanted to make a clear and beautiful sound like the sea, from now on, I will also make a heartfelt young resonance for the environment.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the 23rd Seoul International environment Film Festival will open on June 5th at Lotte Concert Hall, showcasing various environment films and citizen participation programs under the slogan ‘Ready, Climate, Action!’. In addition, it plans to meet audiences in various spaces through its touring screening program ‘Seoul International environment Film Festival IN’.<\/p>\n
