Subsequently, participating employees directly installed Hanji lanterns (\u71c8) to be used for the &#8216;Stairway of Paper and Light,&#8217; a main attraction within the festival venue, thereby assisting in the preparation of the event.<\/p>\n<p>Since signing the &#8216;Working Agreement for the Revitalization of Wonju Traditional Hanji&#8217; in 2021, the KVA Medical Service has collaborated annually with public institutions in Wonju Innovation City for five years, continuing its sponsorship and volunteer activities to preserve valuable cultural heritage and foster mutual growth with the local community.<\/p>\n<p>Yoon Jong-jin, Chairman of the KVA Medical Service, stated, &#8216;This year is significant as traditional Korean Hanji is awaiting review for inscription on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list. We hope this activity will contribute, even in a small way, to preserving and promoting our unique cultural heritage. Moving forward, the KVA Medical Service will continue to communicate closely with the local community and lead the way in fulfilling its social responsibilities as a public institution.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The cooperation of the five public institutions in Wonju Innovation City will serve as a crucial stepping stone not only for the successful hosting of the &#8216;Wonju Hanji Culture Festival&#8217; but also for re-evaluating the value of traditional Korean Hanji and promoting it to the world.
