
The Guro-gu Youth Growth Support Council, in collaboration with local community organizations, conducted a school violence prevention campaign twice, on April 23rd and 30th, to help young people enjoy safe and happy school lives.
The campaign was held at Gaebong Elementary School and Sindorim Middle School. A total of 12 youth organizations, including the Guro Education Welfare Center, Guro-gu Youth Counseling and Welfare Center, Guro-gu Youth Out-of-School Support Center (Kkumdeurim), Guro Youth Culture and Arts Center, Gung-dong Youth Culture House, Dagachi School South, Seoul Guro Youth Center, Cheonwang-dong Youth Culture House, Youth Zone Gaebong 2-dong Moyeo-Guro, Youth Zone Gocheok Sinnaguro, Youth Zone Guro 5-dong Chinguro, and Youth Zone Sindorim Nolguro, participated alongside the Guro Police Station.
The Guro-gu Youth Growth Support Council operates to establish a youth support system and strengthen safety nets based on cooperation among youth-related organizations in the region, and this campaign was promoted as part of that effort. Participating organizations distributed candies to students during school arrival times, gave high-fives, shared messages of encouragement, and together shouted the slogan ‘No School Violence!’
At Gaebong Elementary School, student leaders directly participated in the campaign, delivering school violence prevention messages and contributing to the creation of a healthy peer culture. Students responded to the campaign with bright smiles and active participation, filling the way to school with a more vibrant and warm atmosphere.
The council emphasized the importance of a school violence prevention culture created by the entire community and stated that they would continue to strive to ensure young people can grow up safely.
